Meet MY NEW Assistant...Very Well Qualified

I truly enjoy meeting people of all ages.  I am a PEOPLE PERSON...much training working with students and for their parents before I started my encore career as a REALTOR.   Just recently I had the pleasure of working for Edwin and Stella and their young son, Jesse.   We spent 2 ½ days together touring over 25 properties as they are moving to Ohio for employment at The Ohio State University.  YES 25 properties!

Even after a long drive to Columbus, 3 nights in a hotel, in and out of homes that started to look alike, few breaks, in and out of his carseat...NO COMPLAINTS! This was my FIRST CLUE that Jesse was a valuable passenger in my car.

But there is more to know...

When I know there are going to be children along I pack my car with books, crayons, paper, nutritious snacks, and water.  I have to guess the reading level and try to bring a range for the age level. I SOON heard Jesse at 4 years and 10 months of age reading paragraph books.  That was the SECOND CLUE that I should consider recruiting him as an ASSISTANT.

  1. Takes off shoes as soon as enters a property

  2.  Respects homeowner’s properties...never touches an interesting toy or book

  3. Smiles and is friendly to others.

  4. Speaks FOUR Languages

  5. Rank orders listings

  6. Sketches interesting features on the listing sheet

  7. Evaluates listing by drawing a smiley face or frowning face on the bottom on the listing sheet

  8. Never complains of need for snacks during tours

  9. Enjoys holding the key box and/or making sure the property is locked at the end of the tour

I truly believe all, yes I said ALL children have gifts!  I can truly say that Jesse may have more gifts than even he or his parents know at this time.

Providing Education and Service to Families Has Always been my Business

I admire my clients that ask for more details related to their children’s interests, sports, and/or education.  As a realtor, I cannot steer a client to a specific school but I enjoy providing tours of schools, gyms, etc. that a client selects from the internet and/or is recommended to them.  Many clients consider travel time to work as a high priority so the parents can be available in an emergency, be able to be in attendance at a school function or game, and also spend less time in the car. It is probably the combination of “teacher”, “parent”, and “realtor” in me that enjoys learning family comes first.
