Second Career Could be Better Than First

After watching Aaron Rodgers as a guest host on “JEOPARADY” this week, I soon learned we have some similar experiences.  Being a Realtor is a Second Career for me as Aaron is hoping to have an Encore Career as a Game Show Host.  I definitely remember being a Quarterback when behind the teacher’s desk in a room full of high school students. I had to instantly come up with some new plays to keep the game of teaching and learning relevant and a win/win for all. Just like Aaron’s childhood memories and love for watching “JEOPARADY”, I have always been interested in styles of housing, furnishings, and design.  Touring Parade Homes, checking out homes when on vacations...all was interesting and fun.  

I found it interesting when I read that Aaron felt the intensity increase when hosting and he admitted he could never truly relax.  I feel somewhat the same when working with a buyer and/or seller to make sure they are happy with the transaction. Being a Quarterback or game show host, being a high school teacher or realtor are all equally exhausting.  It is a different game every day, with a different team, and all must be prepared.  The day is most likely challenging, satisfying and like the old adage we must learn something new each day. I enjoy the challenge!
