Aha Moment is Often the Best Reward

A few years ago when I first started my Real Estate career, I was working for a client that teaches Anatomy at The OHIO STATE Veterinary College. We discussed many issues as we drove around to look at properties.  Can you imagine me talking?  Actually, meeting people and finding out why they are coming to Ohio is one of my favorite parts of being a Realtor. Knowing that my first career was teaching, she asked me to compare my first and encore career.  

And Now the Secret

As a teacher, the best reward is witnessing a student have an AHA MOMENT!  It is almost like seeing a light bulb turn on.  Tatiana, my client, totally understood as she had been able to witness the same Amazing Happening.  Ask any teacher.

As a realtor, I see the same reaction when my buyer not just likes the new property, but is super excited...not just ok… but ecstatic to move to the new property.  My goal is to give every client that feeling.  In both careers, the salary can be the same but the AHA Moment is equally valuable to me.  When a former student and/or client keeps in touch with me the reward still keeps coming to me.
