Planning an Elopement

Emily’s words to me… “Reimagine, Reinvent…better than we could have ever imagined!”

Seems Like a Dream Come True

Imagine a wedding where no one is left out.  And the menu only needs to be prepared for the Bride and Groom.  Vows are kept private without the distraction of everyone listening. No one is late for the ceremony. A musician plays for your first dance.   The day belongs to the Bride and Groom.

Reinventing What a Wedding Will Be in Today’s World

Adrian and Emily have decided to elope as they have friends and family that will not all be able to travel internationally this year.   When I was asked, “What do you think?”  Hmmmm, I needed to think for a few minutes.  I have needed to reimagine/reinvent several stages in my life.  Yes, I had always imagined being at Emily’s wedding and watching George give the bride away. As they explained their plans, I began to get excited.  Living in London, they are headed to Scotland for the elopement.  They have hired a wedding planner, a photographer, and a videographer.  They have shared their likes and dislikes and left their requests open for a few surprises.

Mother of the Bride and Traditional Task

Selecting the bridal gown with Emily gave me a very important task.  Emily made all the appointments.  The dress must be purchased off the rack, be altered in London, suitable for hiking a half mile, and suitable for boots!  Laura, a friend from Az. flew in to be part of our wedding dress team. Andi, our oldest daughter in CA, zoomed in. We had less than 12 days to find the dress!  I loved every minute!  THE DRESS is READY to be shipped by air next week. All our of LOVE will follow!
