Laughter is the Best Medicine!

School of Laughter

Growing up I spent a lot of time with my Dad and my Uncle Tom in the office of Schmitt’s Dairy….now known to me as the School of Laughter.  They would tease me to the point  that I might really have tears but then soon tears of laughter.  There was always a joke...of course appropriate when I was around but usually about life.  Little did I know how much they prepared me for life.

When Did I Need to Share My Sense of Humor?

  • First year of teaching...actually all 32 years of teaching

  • First year of marriage….well maybe all 45 years of marriage

  • Loss of loved ones…..remembering all the crazy, funny times that still make me laugh

  • Success and some failures for our family

  • Helping my Real Estate Clients Downsize to a new home

  • Listening and helping friends with problems

Words from the Young

I just finished a conversation with my niece, when we both agreed that laughter is often the best medicine.  Her daughter who is six commented, “That just doesn’t make any sense”.  Her mother shared that she will understand when she gets older.  She will be in training soon.
