I first met this family when there were only two and at the beginning of my REAL ESTATE Career.  Such a truly loving couple that would send me home with homemade cookies and wonderful stories.  My assignment was to sell their very first home that was a collection of so many unique features.  The ranch property had actually been a model home way back when.  What a surprise when I walked in!  Of course I had reviewed  comparables and history but I was certainly not prepared.  Lower level...a BASEMENT...had been completely updated with barn siding, concrete stained flooring, and a sliding barn door. About ten years ago, this was the first time I had seen the use of these materials and today in every website and/or magazine. 

Reuniting

As time passed, my clients purchased a property on the Olentangy River in Delaware.  Again, this was going to be a project.  They had the vision and the talent.  I was eager to go back to see all the updates, additions, and three additional family members.  I loved every minute of catching up, meeting all the children, and touring the property.  The property had amazing and thoughtful additions.  I soon learned I was there to offer advice.  

The Question

Should they continue to add to the property or move on?  We discussed the pros and cons.  We listed their needs and their wants.  I was able to give them a range for a listing price.  We discussed the current market.  As an experienced realtor, I know I can provide current information, help guide them through a critical decision process, and they must now make a decision.  No matter what decision they make, I had a wonderful time with this family. Whatever the decision, I know I will see them again.
