Henry, a Chihuahua, is a well traveled dog that is also our daughter Emily’s best friend.  As a young pup he lived in Arizona while Emily attended A.S.U.  He moved on to Philadelphia, and then New York City as Emily progressed with her career.  Just this past year he enjoyed time in airbnb’s around the U.S. as Emily and her partner worked from afar.  Henry’s needs always seem to come first.  One might think this may change soon as Emily and Adrian are engaged to be married in November.  As clever and adorable as Henry can be, he has become Adrian's best friend too.

Adrian left for his job first, leaving Emily and Henry with us in Ohio.  George and I have been busy helping Emily get all her and Adrian’s possessions organized in groups to be sent by air or ship.  The packers are coming next week and I am very tempted to unload add a few more items that I think these minimalists could use???  NO CASH and Carry is my motto as I have had one husband and two homes in the last 45 years.

GETTING Henry READY TO TRAVEL, OH MY!

Right before Adiran and Emily left for their Airbnb adventures, Emily decided Henry needed a physical…..he is getting older.  The VET recommended removing all but two of Henry’s teeth to prevent any infections.  No implants for this dog!  The VET also recommended some type of meds to sprinkle on Henry’s food to help him have more energy.  I have cautioned my friends to know if George and I only have 2 teeth and seem rather frisky, you will know Emily has prepared us for our silver years.  The next steps and cost for Henry to enter England were unbelievable!  I kept reminding myself that for many years, animals and plants must follow specific guidelines to enter and/or leave countries. Emily and I made several trips to the US Dept of Agricultural.  Henry has a ISO Microchip, an APHIS endorsed Veterinary Export Health Certificate, Authentication of the USDA Certification...and the list goes on.
